MY CHARACTER PORTRAYAL

I usually play Cloud post-canon, at age 28. With a little more perspective and maturity, he is less of a tragic figure and more laid back about everything. Taking himself a bit less seriously has allowed his biting sarcasm to take on a bit of goofiness. He still has an insatiable love of adventure and a habit of foolishly crashing into things when anyone with a lick of sense would know better, but ultimately he knows he has people he cares about and a place to call home. He's still Cloud, though, and still a total doofus, but he's starting to get better at appreciating all the fun in life.

This character has been written into so many different games and so many different realities that it's impossible to reconcile them all. My conclusion is that Cloud is regularly transported around to different dimensions and timelines, sometimes to compete in some kind of arena combat and sometimes to roam around on adventures. In the main canon, he's yanked randomly into Lifestream space for conversations with his dearly departed and has a frequent habit of going unconscious to hallucinate. There's no point making a fuss about something he can't change so now he just rolls with it.

MY HEADCANON

• Healing: Cloud heals so completely that his hands have no callouses. He keeps his gloves on constantly to protect them from damage.
  
• Pain tolerance: Even as an ordinary human, Cloud has always been absurdly tough. He feels physical pain but only in a very muted way.
  
• Jenova: Cloud is an active Jenova carrier. He resists joining Team Virus only by practice and sheer stubbornness. He has a dormant single white wing on his left side and has convinced himself it doesn't exist, just like any other Jenova abilities that he might be able to wield.
